"This is a project that is conceptually solid and by this a clear winner. There is a promising sectional understanding of public space in direct connection to the public programs at ground floor, which almost guaranties successful in-between urban spaces. Upper housing levels are articulated and by this it generates views for the apartments creating good semi-private common areas. The degree of densification and the scale of the proposed development are quite appropriate for a place like Oslo/Grorud, - which is desperately asking for a new order and an identity.
The strategy is founded on a basic principal as the city is already there. By choosing a generic perspective the place can start to develop by itself. The programmatic approach is the strength of the project, as the tools are already there and it is only to reorganize the programs on the site."

"An interesting road solution as an idea for discussion, but it is not solving the problems of pollution and noise by putting the trafficflow apart and putting it closer to other excisting housing areas, as the project fails to give a solid platform to develop public spaces with quality and identity. The best part of the project is the sequence where the existing shoppingmall is connected to the new area, but the exploitation is low compared to the investment needed and also the implementation is relying on the decisions made by the road authorities and not by the city."
